LIIF Early-Stage Catalytic Capital Driving Affordable Homeownership Opportunities in Palm Springs, California

Via the We Lift: Coachella Valley Housing Catalyst Fund with partner Lift to Rise, LIIF has closed a $750,000 predevelopment loan to Neighborhood Partnership Housing Services (NPHS), an organization that since 1991 has been advancing housing development across Southern California. NPHS was awarded three vacant parcels from the City of Palm Springs for the development of six single-family affordable homeownership units at Desert Highland Gateway Estates, which is located in a historically undercapitalized neighborhood in the northern part of town.

Our 12-month loan will be used to support design work, plus preparation and release of project documents. Construction is scheduled to begin as early as April 2026.
