For 25+ years, LIIF has strategically partnered with the San Francisco Department of Early Childhood to strengthen the city’s child care ecosystem. Our latest collaboration is the scaling of Felton Institute’s footprint across San Francisco. With the opening of their newly refurbished 300 Leland Avenue center, Visitacion Valley families now have a quality space for their children’s care, setting them up for success in life.
LIIF’s funding support came in three tranches:
In 2022, we offered a $2.1 million acquisition grant and a $576,580 Brighter Futures Fund Loan, the latter via LIIF’s partnership with Goldman Sachs. This year, LIIF provided a $1.5 million recoverable grant. This total $4 million-dollar-plus investment exemplifies what we like to call “The LIIF Way,” which is our offering flexible, catalytic capital to create community anchors.
