When the economic pressures of gentrification in D.C. and the COVID-19 pandemic pushed the facility to the verge of closing a few years ago, Mercy Partnership Fund investee Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF) helped the GAP Center expand to meet the huge demand for child care and ensure the longevity of a cornerstone to youth education in northwest Washington, D.C.
