How do you create a robust national economy? It starts by strengthening local child care ecosystems. The LIIF Early Care and Education (ECE) Team conducted a site visit to see one example, heading to Santa Cruz Toddler Care Center with staff from the office of California State Assemblymember Dawn Addis (District 30).
Toddler Care Center is a fully outdoor, nature-based program that is a haven for young children. The facility used California Department of Social Services’ Infrastructure Grant Program (IGP) funds to support outdoor learning, eating and diaper changing. LIIF serves as facilities fund manager for this $350.5 million initiative that is strengthening communities from rural to urban across the “Golden State.”
