LaToya Kyle Joins in Ribbon-Cutting for The Front Porch on Auburn in Atlanta

Community win in Atlanta’s Sweet Auburn neighborhood. Today, LIIF Vice President, Southeast Region LaToya Kyle (photo top, at far right) took part in the ribbon-cutting for The Front Porch on Auburn, a mixed-income infill venture that replaced vacant land and parking lots along Auburn Avenue — the first catalytic project on this historic Atlanta corridor in nearly two decades. LIIF provided a $4.5 million leverage loan and $8.5 million New Markets Tax Credit allocation to the Historic District Development Corporation (HDDC), which was co-founded 45 years ago by Coretta Scott King with a goal of revitalizing and rehabbing historically underserved Sweet Auburn and its neighbor, Old Fourth Ward, both east of Downtown. The Front Porch on Auburn is a transformative project that honors the community’s rich heritage while building its vibrant future.
