LIIF joins with Enterprise Community Partners, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) and National Housing Trust (NHT) in opposition to HUD’s proposed rulemaking on Making Admission or Placement Determinations Based on Sex in Facilities Under Community Planning and Development Housing Programs. Joint Statement with Enterprise Community Partners, Housing Partnership Network, Local Initiatives Support Corporation, Low Income Investment Fund, National Housing Trust, and Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future opposing HUD’s weakening of the nation’s fair housing responsibilities through the passage of a rule replacing the 2015 Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) rule.

Two major pieces of legislation are currently before Congress that would substantially improve the quality and sustainability of our nation’s child care programs. The Low Income Investment Fund is pleased to see such strong congressional support for the early care and education (ECE) industry at a time when federal support for families and child care providers is more important than ever.
