LIIF Shares Insights at "Children and Nature Conference" in St. Paul, Minnesota

Doing a double take: Yes, that is members of the LIIF team in the Twin Cities canoeing down the Mississippi by St. Paul, Minnesota (top photo, below). In mid-May, they joined child care leaders leaders and outdoor educators at the Children & Nature Network’s “Nature Everywhere Conference” — the world’s largest gathering of advocates for children and nature.

To further this effort, LIIF has been collaborating for decades with agencies from the City and County of San Francisco, which leads the national movement to build deeper connections between children and nature. Our Liz Winograd presented on this program’s collective impact.

More educators are recognizing the exciting possibilities of introducing natural materials into the classroom and bringing young children outside to engage with their environment.
