LIIF has closed a $1 million predevelopment loan with Ten North Group to support their rehab of the Mary Alice Brown Apartments, a multifamily development comprising 216 units affordable to households earning between 30% and 60% Area Median Income (AMI). This apartment complex, located west of Miami in historically underserved Opa-locka, is named after a community advocate referred to by some as the “Matriarch of Opa-locka.” Mary Alice Brown has lived in the north Miami-Dade area for more than 70 years.
