LIIF Team Heads to NYC's Gracie Mansion for “Child Care Provider Appreciation Dinner”

LIIF joined sector leaders May 6 at Gracie Mansion, built in 1799 and located in the Yorkville neighborhood of Manhattan, for a “Child Care Provider Appreciation Dinner.” Thanks to New York City Deputy Mayor for Strategic Initiatives Ana Almanzar and the Office of Child Care and Early Childhood Education for hosting. This was an inspiring convening of caregivers, advocates and champions for children and families.

LIIF’s Amy Shea had nominated a trio of dedicated child care providers to have their small businesses recognized: Talisa Ferrand-Harrison, Ingrid Layne and Tania Duchi. Amy stated, “It’s a privilege to be here tonight to recognize three powerful examples of what makes our city thrive — our home-based family child care providers. These women do more than care for children. They sustain working families, support early development, and strengthen the social and economic fabric of our neighborhoods.”

Let’s celebrate all of our NYC early care and education (ECE) providers — community anchors in all five boroughs contributing to a robust economy.
