California Children’s Academy
The California Children’s Academy (CCA) provides quality child care services in Los Angeles County and the San Fernando Valley. CCA’s early care and education programs include infant, toddler and preschool-age services. Delayed payments from the State of California almost forced CCA to close their doors to the 728 children attending their centers. LIIF provided $382,000 in financing from the Los Angeles Early Childhood Education (LA ECE) Bridge Fund to enable CCA to meet its financial obligations and remain open. This preserved 234 staff jobs, 879 parent jobs and 728 high quality child care spaces. LIIF’s LA ECE Bridge Fund works to preserve and maintain the capacity of ECE providers that target low-income families and communities.
