The supermarket will be on the ground floor of a 160 unit rental housing project developed by L&M Development Partners and is part of a larger economic and community revitalization effort of Williamsburg’s Southside. LIIF provided a $1.5 million loan and $150,000 grant through the Healthy Food and Healthy Communities Fund (HFHC Fund) to fit-out the new 15,900 square foot supermarket. The $30 million HFHC Fund is an innovative financing program, established to facilitate the development of healthy food markets in underserved communities throughout New York.
