Triangle Plaza Hub Eager to Serve Community In South Bronx Neighborhood
Last week’s ribbon cutting at Triangle Plaza Hub signaled the official opening of a new mixed-use development that will provide South Bronx residents with much-needed access to affordable food, medical services, and retail options. LIIF is proud to have allocated $10 million in New Market Tax Credits and provided a $5.75 million leverage loan to the project. Through support from New York City’s Food Retail Expansion to Support Health (FRESH) initiative and the New York Healthy Food & Healthy Communities Fund (HFHC), LIIF also provided a loan and grant directly to the supermarket’s owner. Located in one of the New York City’s largest food desserts, Fine Fare supermarket will anchor the hub and provide a new staple location for fresh and nutritious groceries in the area.
The Bronx’s News 12 covers the ceremony and impact of Triangle Plaza Hub in the following segment.
