The Gregory Jackson Center for Brownsville: A Community Hub Opens Its Doors
On June 26th, LIIF joined Community Solutions, a leading national nonprofit dedicated to ending homelessness, for the the opening of The Gregory Jackson Center for Brownsville in Brownsville, Brooklyn. The 13,800-square-foot Gregory Jackson Center will serve as a multi-service community facility that will offer employment and social services to the local community. The space will be leased to Community Solutions and members of the Brownsville Partnership (BP). The BP initiative, which is also supported by LIIF and the Citi Foundation’s Partners in Progress program, seeks to connect 5,000 Brownsville residents to work or secondary education by 2018.
The Gregory Jackson Center for Brownsville was developed by Community Solutions with financing from LIIF and support from the Brooklyn Borough President’s Office and NYCEDC.Read the full article at Community Solutions
