Partners in Progress: Initiative Creates One-Stop Shops for Needy Families
In partnership with the Citi Foundation, LIIF recently launched the Partners in Progress (PIP) Initiative, which is supporting 13 organizations across the country in their work to advance economic development. A piece from Al Jazeera America profiles the PIP Initiative and several grantees. The local organizations received $250,000 grants to start or amplify their efforts to become “community quarterbacks,” organizations that bring together multiple sectors and stakeholders around shared goals. The model was introduced in the book Investing in What Works for America’s Communities, co-published by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and LIIF.
