“The [NMTC] program provides a way for the school to finance its dream building,” said Priscilla Forsyth, vice president of Lighthouse Academies’ New York region.

LIIF partnered with Chase to enable Bronx Lighthouse Charter School to build a brand new high school building using the New Markets Tax Credit program. The school currently serves 535 students in K-9th grades and its new facility will allow the school to continue to grow to serve students through the 12th grade. A recent article in the Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits highlights the success and growth of the school which serves families in the Bronx, New York, one of the poorest areas of the city.
