LIIF Receives $1.65 Million Financial Assistance Award from the CDFI Fund
Yesterday, the U.S. Treasury Department’s Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund announced that the Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF) has been awarded $1.65 million in Financial Assistance (FA) through it’s CDFI Program. As part of the Treasury’s 2015 round, LIIF was one of only 195 community development organizations nationwide to receive funding. The award marks LIIF’s fourteenth award and brings LIIF’s total Financial Assistance awards to over $23 million. The CDFI Fund’s Financial Assistance awards are meant to support CDFIs in sustaining and expanding their financial products and services. The award will strengthen LIIF’s ability to continue creating opportunity in the communities that need it most.
