LIIF Launches Updated Social Impact Calculator 2.0
Today, LIIF is pleased to announce the launch of the Social Impact Calculator 2.0. The online tool, first launched last fall, uses an “impact by proxy” approach that leverages social science research to translate basic project data into forward projections of monetary social value. The calculator’s new features include the ability to calculate an internal rate of social return, select from different social discount rates, analyze multiple areas of impact for a single project and assess cumulative impact across several projects.
The Social Impact Calculator aims to help answer the question “What works to improve the lives of children and families?” The tool allows you to put a dollar value on the benefits of things like an affordable home, a great school or access to transit.
