GoATL Fund Backs LIIF’s Charter School Finance Program in Atlanta

GoATL, the impact investment fund of Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, has invested $1 million into the Low Income Investment Fund to create a financing vehicle for earlier stage charter schools in Atlanta’s lower income communities. The U.S. Department of Education also provided funding. This flexible, long term capital will support emerging charter schools with proven leadership and validated community support that are located in Atlanta’s underperforming educational markets.
