Breaking Ground Opens 248-unit Affordable Housing Complex in The Bronx
Breaking Ground recently celebrated the opening of a 248-unit affordable housing building in the Tremont section of The Bronx. Park House is part of Breaking Ground’s larger plan to provide more affordable housing units in New York City. The 12-story building includes one, two, and three bedroom units, creating housing that is accessible to families with children.
LIIF and the New York City Acquisition Fund provided a bridge loan to Breaking Ground in 2014, which helped the organization to purchase the vacant industrial site and begin construction. Breaking Ground combines affordable housing with social services to help formerly homeless residents maintain stable housing. Read more about Park House in Multi-Housing News.
