Announcing Partners in Progress
The Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF) is excited to announce the launch of Partners in Progress (PIP), a new nationwide initiative in partnership with the Citi Foundation aimed at advancing economic progress in low-income communities. Building off of the “community quarterback” model put forward in the book Investing in What Works for America’s Communities, PIP will provide $3.25 million to 13 grantees across the country.
Through PIP, LIIF and the Citi Foundation aim to spur a national movement that inspires community organizations to work more collaboratively, engage an expanded range of partners, share knowledge, and use data to drive community revitalization efforts. The 13 grantees will lead efforts to align smart policies, smart data and smart partnerships to improve their communities. Over the next year, these grantees will form a vital new cohort, innovating to increase effectiveness in the community development field.
