LIIF Reaches $50 Million of Investment in the South

You are here:

Two years after opening an office in Atlanta, we’re proud to celebrate the deployment of $50 million in affordable housing, K-12 schools, early care and education, health clinics and community facilities across the South. LIIF has provided financing to community development projects in this region since 2001, but began a more concerted effort to increase investments in the area alongside the Strong, Prosperous And Resilient Communities Challenge (SPARCC), which advances community-led, equitable development in Atlanta and Memphis, among other regions.

Investing in the Southern states is a key component of LIIF’s commitment to social justice and equity. We know that flexible, patient financing of critical facilities like homes and schools can help narrow the racial achievement gap and increase health and financial outcomes.
