Bipartisan House Bill Would Authorize HUD Pay-For-Success Demonstration
Today, LIIF joined Enterprise Community Partners and the Stewards for Affordable Housing for the Future to applaud Representatives Dennis Ross (R-FL-15), Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO-5) and Jim Himes (D-CT-3) for introducing the Private Investment in Housing Act. The bipartisan legislation would authorize a “pay-for-success” (PFS) demonstration within HUD to save taxpayer dollars and improve the energy efficiency of government-supported multifamily properties.
Enterprise’s Housing Horizon blog featured an overview of the new legislation and its potential impact to improve the energy efficiency of multifamily housing.
