CHILDREN'S FACILITY POLICY COMMITTEE

The Children’s Facilities Policy Committee is a convening of key child care and community development leaders in California who set priorities and implement strategies that educate policy makers on effective child care facility issues.  Child care facility financing and development areas of interest include Federal and State child care, community development, and other related sectors such as housing and education.

2007 AREAS OF INTEREST
  • Fully funding the Child Care Advocate Program administered by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division
  • Fully implementing the Child Care Facility Revolving Fund administered by the California Department of Education, Child Development Division
  • Reauthorization of Head Start

Given the varied areas of interest and our need to use resources strategically, the Children’s Facilities Policy Committee sets priorities based on how central an issue is to the mission of supporting child care facilities and the potential impact the Committee’s involvement may have on the issues.
